Someone Throw That ANC a Life Preserver!
The kids and I drove up to Clinic yesterday morning. Alyson’s ANC has gone from ~1200 to 380 in 10 days. She isn’t high enough to keep going with the minimal chemo dose that is Interim Maintainence. We’ll be back up on Monday to check again. If she’s a go (ANC > 500), then she starts off at 80% of the previous dose.
I think her body’s tired of fighting off the poisons.
The Aurora Fire Department brought one of their trucks for the kids to climb over. Bradyn had a good time with FF Chris learning about what was stored where on the truck and what various tools would be used in different situations.
Alyson enjoyed the fire truck but her main joy of the day was being “Queen for A Day“. The adult volunteers were so sweet but the teenagers rocked her world. Miss Teen Colorado was there & Alyson kept calling her a princess. It was very cute. Aly got her nails painted and a touch of makeup. (Not that I think a four year old should be wearing makeup but there you go.) She got to keep anything that was used on her and put it all in a little purple (of course) bag with beadwork. Quetzal was along for the day and we decided to put the tiara and pink feather boa on him. Needless to say, he was quite the popular Queen.
